Enhancing the Quality of Jewish Life in Savannah, Georgia

Enhancing the Quality of Jewish Life
We’re not related. But we’re family. And we need your help…

Savannah:
We hope to strengthen our community, one Jewish family at a time.

Since 1733, Savannah has been the hub of Jewish life in Coastal Georgia. Recently, job growth and modernization have drawn many of our children to bigger cities. With your increased support, we have started a campaign to bring them back. A Federation Human Resource Development program has been created to attract, absorb and employ newcomers to our charming city.

Education:
Generations past have kept our traditions strong for more than 5,000 years. Now the next generation is counting on YOU.

In an increasing secular world, protecting our Jewish identity is more important than ever before. With your help, our day school and afternoon Hebrew schools keep Jewish knowledge and traditions alive in our children’s minds and hearts. Educational and recreational programs connect our children to each other and transform them into Jewish leaders of the future. With your increased help, children in our Jewish family who have special educational needs will receive the help they need.

Israel:
Even though thousands of miles separate us, more than 5,000 years of history make us a family.

Every day, people in Israel live with the consequences of terrorism. Your contribution to the Savannah Jewish Federation helps keep them safe. Your support provides aid and trauma counseling to victims of terror, armed guards for buses, and security at schools, day camps and after school programs.

The needy:
Perhaps too weak to help themselves.

All too often, people in our own Jewish family lack basic needs. They need medicine, transportation, companionship, food and a place to live. By supporting the Savannah Jewish Federation, you help our mothers, fathers, and grandparents, whether here in Savannah, in the Former Soviet Union, in Israel or in Argentina… you provide vital services for those unwilling to ask for help.
